- Can Foreign Applicants Register a Trademark in Malaysia?
Yes. Foreign individuals and companies can apply. However, if the applicant does not have a local address in Malaysia, a registered Malaysian trademark agent must be appointed via Form TMR7. - Required Documents

- Substantive examination (response typically within 2 months)
- Publication (2-month opposition period)
- Registration and certificate issuance (TMJ4)

- Application: RM950 (pre-approved list) / RM1100 (custom) per class
- Series mark: RM50 per additional mark
- Opposition: RM950 per class
- Expedited examination: RM1000 per class
- Certificate: RM50
- Renewal: RM1000 / Late: RM1200 / Restoration: RM1500
